Fragile.
Soft acidic water with a nutrient rich substrate will aid in growth. Strong specimens can have up to 100 leaves. Most common propagation in the aquarium is by splitting, but strong specimens will readily flower. Flowers that reach above the waters surface will open, but are quite small. Flowers that are submerged are cleistogamous.
