OVERVIEW: The low growing Glosso, one of the tiniest of foreground plants is often used to carpet the substrate in bright tanks.
HABITAT: Marshy and boggy areas.
NATIVE RANGE: Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania.
MAXIMUM HEIGHT: 1 inch (2.5 cm).
LIGHTING: Bright to very bright.
WATER: 72-78 F (22-26 C); pH Mildly Acidic; Hardness: Soft.
FEEDING: CO2 supplemtation increases growth quickly.
SPECIAL CARE: The substrate should be fine and nutritious to increase the density of this plant.
PROPAGATION: Lateral shoots.
NOTES: The higher the light, the more compact the growth. Low light or shade will cause it to 'melt'.
