OVERVIEW: The Parrot Feather is a venerable plant of early 'goldfish bowl' fishkeeping. It is especially useful in breeding tanks because of the fine feathery fronds that protect eggs and fry and harbour nourishment for young fishes. FEEDING: To see the best of this plant, treat it as you would any valuable species and use CO2 and a fine fertile substrate. SPECIAL CARE: None required. PROPAGATION: Rhizome division or cuttings. Both male and female plants exist. NOTES: This plant is a great oxygenator and will do very well in cold water. It's one of those plants you either love or hate.
